You might be wondering what a feminine embodiment coaching session is like. Maybe you’ve heard about feminine embodiment and are interested in calling more of it into your life. Or maybe you already know what feminine embodiment is, and you’d like to learn if working one-on-one with a feminine embodiment coach would be a good fit for you and your goals. In this blog post, I am going to walk you through each part of a feminine embodiment coaching session to give you a clear idea of what to expect so you can discover if it would be an aligned next step for you.
Before we dive into what a feminine embodiment coaching session is like, I’m going to share what exactly feminine embodiment is. When I discuss the feminine, I am talking about the feminine energy that each person has, regardless of sex or gender identity and expression. Our feminine energy is made up of our emotional, intuitive, creative, and cyclical natures. Another way to think of it is that our feminine energy is our flow. Most of us spend our lives in our masculine, or go energy, which is logical, goal oriented, and focused on success and achievement.
Embodiment means to inhabit the body. Since we typically tap into our masculine, we spend a lot of time in our heads, constantly focused on what we think. Our feminine energy allows us to become more embodied by shifting us from being in our heads to being in our bodies. The focus becomes more about what we feel and experience instead of on what we think.

After a brief check in, each of my feminine embodiment session begins with a short embodied meditation that guides both my client and myself to deeply connect with our bodies by using the four pillars of embodiment:
Beginning sessions this way allows clients to shift from being solely in their minds to connecting with their bodies and hearts, which is key for wisdom and insight to be accessed.
Typically, when we are asked a question, we pause, share what we think and then move on. Because we are used to being in our masculine energy, this quick response- and- move -forward pattern is often celebrated. In my feminine embodiment coaching sessions, the four pillars of embodiment and the drop in process allow us to gently shift into our feminine energy, in which we slow down, and give ourselves the space to look within our bodies, to deeply feel and experience before responding.
During a session a client will be invited to:
After the drop in, I will co-create a specific embodied goal with my client that will be explored for the rest of the session. The client will be asked what will be the most valuable for them to leave the session with, and then invited to share how this issue is playing out currently, how it makes them feel and what actions it is leading them to take, followed by how they desire to feel and act in the future.
With a clear goal set, the process portion of the session will begin. During this part of the coaching session, clients will be invited to close their eyes as a way to turn within and shift from their masculine, thinking, intellectualizing energy, to their feminine, feeling and sensing energy. This is the heart of the session, when I will use an embodiment tool to ask specific questions based on the goal of the session. These questions will support the client in dropping back down into their body, exploring the signals (thoughts, emotions, feelings, energy) their body is sending them, and connecting with their body’s wisdom. This deep body connection allows clients to discover aligned and authentic ways to move forward and meet their goals.
After being guided through an embodiment tool, I will restate the goal for the session and then the client will have the opportunity to share their key insights or discoveries from the session as well as the next steps they will take toward achieving their goal. Feminine embodiment coaching is all about empowering clients to unearth their truth through tapping into their bodies, so having the space to share their newly gained wisdom first is crucial. After the client shares their insights, I will share any other noticings that will support the client moving in forward.
The client and I will then clarify the action steps the client has agreed to take towards their goal. I may also ask permission from the client before sharing further recommendations for action steps, practices, tools, or other resources that may support them in moving forward. Continually checking for consent throughout each session allows the client to be empowered, which is one of the key coaching frames in feminine embodiment coaching.
